Chiropractic care is a patient-centered, non-invasive, hands-on, regulated health care profession focused on your spine, muscles, joints, and nervous system. Chiropractors use the best available evidence and clinical expertise to diagnose issues that affect your body’s movement. Then, they treat using chiropractic techniques (see below) to relieve your pain and prevent it from returning. As a result, chiropractic care can promote health and improve quality of life.

In Ontario, you can visit a chiropractor without a doctor or other health care professional referral.

Chiropractors use the following methods such as: acupuncture/dry needling, passive stretching, joint mobilizations, spinal adjustments, soft-tissue therapy (Graston/IASTM, percussion therapy), kinesiotaping and corrective exercises.

Sarah received her Doctorate of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2014, graduating with both cum laude and clinic honours.

She has been practicing in a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation setting for the past 10 years in her native city of Toronto. She has provided post-traumatic and post-operative rehabilitation for accident victims and sport-related injuries. She has also served a large caseload of postural-related issues presented by office and manual workers.

She is a strong advocate for interprofessional collaboration as she has worked alongside orthopedic surgeons and sports physicians as part of a cross-referral healthcare network to promote effective case management. Her focus is on spinal mobility and spinal health as well as extremity conditions (with a special interest in sport and high performance) by implementing evidence-based, patient-centred approaches.

Recently, Sarah worked abroad in London, UK for a year and half to pursue a new challenge and to widen her skillsets and perspective as a practitioner. She has returned with fresh energy and excitement to incorporate all that she has learned to promote and enhance the well-being of individuals in her local community.

In her free time, you can catch Sarah playing recreational league soccer, enjoying a good book in a cafe, and taking her two dogs (Bichipoos) on trails along the Escarpment.
